Developing Work 3

In the order to develop the idea of pouring, I decided to use solid things to pour and I chose food. However, this was very difficult and I need to change the lights, shutter speed, and used manual focus. The images were either some in focus and some out of focus which didn't results in very good photographs. Here is some of my examples but I decided to abandon this idea.

I tried to use different thickness of liquid so I used custard and double cream to see if that could give me a different vision of pouring. The custard was too thick and "blobbed" rather than poured so it was very difficult to get a decent photograph. The cream was better but still not as energetic as water or thiner liquids.

This image shows textures through the colour parts of the liquid look thick and dark whereas the other parts are bright and dramatic. I used the studio shutter speed and focused manually. I tried to capture the movement and the energy of the liquid while in motion. I feel I have done within this series photographs.
