This photographer uses a fast shutter speed which captures the liquid and it's shapes clearly. The lighting is important as it allows the tiny droplets of liquid stands out more clearly. This sort of shot gives texture to the image making it move and flow. As this image is very dynamic and very eye-catching. I love the way two different colours of white milk and chocolate milk to mix together to make the image more vibrant and energetic.

1st Response of Jonathan Knowles

Speed: 1/2000 Aperture: F11 ISO: 3200
This image of the water sprinkling in an upward form represents the style of Jonathan Knowles. I like the way the water is linked together, almost like crystal beads. In order to improve this image I would make the image of the water more sharper and find a location with a better background.

Speed: 1/2000 Aperture: F6.3 ISO: 3200
Again, this image is one of my favourites because its much clearer than the above. The repetition of each string of water flowing down beautifully has a calming effect. It looks like shattered glass floating in the air.

Speed: 1/60 Aperture: F5 ISO: 900
This image has focused more on the milk pouring. Different liquids flow differently and I was hoping to capture this. However, to enhance the quality of the image I would focus more on the form and pattern the milk makes within the glass used. Using a different glass and subtle background would be one method of achieving this. Maybe a black and white shot would make it more dramatic.

Speed: 1/60 Aperture: F5.6 ISO: 900
This image has focused more on the milk and coffee at the same time. However, to enhance the quality of the image I would change the mug into a bright colourful mug such as red, blue etc. I would try to take pictures at different angles capture the way the two liquids combined swirl into the mug.

Speed: 1/2000 Aperture: F6.3 ISO: 3200
This image is very strong and energetic. This has a strong clarity because of the shutter speed. To expand on this image I would try a few different compositions, for example eye level, floor level or with the camera against the wall. Also I could crop this image to create more focus on the crashing water.

Speed: 1/60 Aperture: F4 ISO: 1250
My composition of this image was inspired by the photographer Jonathan Knowles. His photos are usually quite simple with only a few elements, where as my image is more complicated because of the jug with the fruits and juice in it. For the improvements, I could focus more on the liquid to imitate his style.  I don't find this image very interesting because I feel anyone could take it. I would like to take photos which really surprise people and grab their attention.

Speed: 1/60 Aperture: F5.3 ISO: 560
This image is simple and bold. I like the way the glass reflects the light from the windows and how this and the juice makes an interesting pattern. I felt that I had put too much contrast and brightness in this image and the colours look quite unnatural as a result. My development of this image would be to use a studio and get a better shot with the glass and the juice pouring down.

Speed: 1/2000 Aperture: F6.3 ISO: 3200
In this image, the water flows and splashes. I used a very high shutter speed which captures the water instantly, mimicking the same style as the photographer Jonathan Knowles. I like the sharpness of this photo and imagery created by the ripples of the water.

Speed: 1/125 Aperture: F5.6 ISO: 100
This image is very light and colourful. I'm happy with how the juice pours down over the glass and how the two different colours blue and orange contrast. I like the way the background is glowing from dark to light which makes this image effective. For the improvements, I would try to do different colours of background such as red so it can be contrast the background and the juice and even the glass too. I used photoshop to make this image strong and bold by adjusting the brightness and contrast.

Speed:  1/125 Aperture: F5.6 ISO: 100
This image was created by pouring orange juice onto the paper.  It has created different forms similar to how water spreads out in the river. I find this image to be soft and calming but can be enhanced by adjusting the brightness as it seems dull and the orange juice looks diluted.  Furthermore, I would try to change the background using different colours to make the juice stand out to be more eye-catching.

As you can see this image is showing that someone is holding the juice is pouring down on the table with the white background. This image is simple and light. This captures the liquid very clear as you can see the splash on the table. One thing I don't like in this image is that you can see the shadow on the table. I have edited this image to make it brighter and with more contrast.

This image is vibrant and light. I have cropped this image to make it more attractive. As in the original image, it's got the hands on the glass and the table in it so it's quite distracting. I used this image in photoshop to make it brighter with more contrast.

The image is bright and light. As you can see there are no hands seen holding the glass which means there is no distraction. Also you can see the juice is pouring down over the glass which creates more creativeness.

I have cropped this image to make it more interesting and more effective. In this image, it has very clear splashing on the table. I have used brightness and contrast to make this image more vibrant and brighter.

In this image, you can see the juice is pouring down to the bowl and it's splashes on the bowl. I really like the composition of this image because you can see the bowl in it. The good thing is that you can't see the hands holding the bottle so it's not distracting.

In this image, you can see the juice is flowing up to down on the topper of the bottle and the background is very natural and pure white colour. I like the way you can see gradient on the background.

I like the way the bottle is squeezing the juice up which creates a more effective image. The background looks like the sky as it has a blue tint to it.

I have used the ink to squeeze and capture it very quickly. Then i used photoshop to change the brightness and contrast to make it more bold and also I have rotated this image upside down to make it more interesting.

This image is very vibrant and bold. I like the way the water is pouring down on the left side which makes the image more interesting. I have used this image in photoshop to use brightness and contrast to make it brighter. I like the way the background and the water is very blue and how you can see reflections of light in the water. This relates well to the work of this photographer.

I like the way the ink goes into bubbles which looks like the bubble is pouring down. I have used this image in photoshop to make it more brightness and contrast to make the background more whiter. I love the way the ink is pouring right in the middle.

I really like this image because the ink is pouring down to the middle. I have cropped this image to make it more interesting and more creative.

I really like this image as the red colour is very eye-catchy, interesting and vibrant, with the white background. For the 2nd Response, I would make it better by trying to use different colours in the background such as black, blue, orange and also try to do different colours of liquid such as blue, orange and pink. I have used this image in Photoshop to make strong and bold by adjusting brightness and contrast. How does this relate to the photographer Jonathan Knowles? It's because this shows the liquid which is very clear and also he takes clear images of liquid pouring down.

This is a vibrant and powerful image. As this image shows that the blue colour is glowing and the red juice makes the image look energetic, strong and powerful. I really like this image because when I look at it, it makes me think about going out for a drink etc.
