Helena Georgiou

Helena Georgiou was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. She studied interior design , while monitoring seminars photography and art. Later she discovered digital photography and manipulation and it became a big love. Participated in group exhibitions, and entered my work in print magazines and newspapers, both online and in magazines.

Her inspiration come from day-to-day life, music, literature, but at the same time –subjects that are related to surrealism, death, or anything out of ordinary. 

How this photographer relates to my theme?
This photographer used umbrellas on his image which shows me the umbrella make me think of water is poured from the rain. I can try to make my response to relate to my theme as the boy is holding two glasses is poured to the ground and can make it his style effect to my image. 





The subject in this photograph is posed they are conveying a confused, dark atmosphere. There are no colours only grey and shades of black. The umbrellas gave  the photograph movement, texture and energy. It is a very thought provoking image.


First Response of Helena Georgiou 
I had done my first response of Helena Georgiou. I tried to his style to relate my theme pouring. So in the first image, the boy is holding two glasses and poured with water to the floor. His style is black and white and also the costume they wearing blazer and hat so this boy is worn blazer and hat as well. I had edited this image on photoshop to adjust by contrast black and white effect.

In this image, there are many of umbrella in the sky same as this photographer. The boy is wearing a hat and blazer to relate this photographer as I want to try to make my image more interesting. I had take the images of umbrella and edit on photoshop to put the umbrellas on the sky. And also I had edited and cut the background out to put the sky in the background to make it more interesting.
